CRAIG
SKATEPARK ALLIANCE
DONATIONS
Craig Skatepark Alliance is looking for donations to get the initial planning, designs & grants to get things rolling. We greatly appreciate your donations and generosity, they will help the city of Craig open doors for tourism, skate demos, skate contests, and will provide the people of all ages in the Yampa Valley an experience of a lifetime.
With the coal mines in Craig coming to a slowdown, we are going to have to rely on more forms of income for the town. A skatepark could bring more local businesses, a younger demographic interested in living in the town, and a bridge to help the tourists of steamboat to come check out what else we have to offer.
"Skateparks encourage youth to develop healthy, active, lifestyles. Research shows the community grown at skateparks help emotional well-being."
-Tony Hawk
Craig has a population of 9,060 people and is located in rural North West Colorado. Unfortunately, Craig doesn't have much to offer here in town, especially to the youth. With focus on the coal & ranching industries towns attractions are aimed toward that demographic.
